Summit Componentes de Mexico (SCM) represents the international contingent of the SPI organization into the world marketplace. Located directly across the Rio Grande River from Brownsville, Texas in Matamoros, Tamaulipas (Mexico), the facility was established in 1987 as a JIT dedicated supplier to what is now the Delphi organization. Since those beginnings, when it received the General Motors "Mark Of Excellence" Award, the customer base has diversified to include Eaton, TRW and Autoliv.
