Summit’s Elizabethtown plant located in Elizabethtown, Kentucky (Plt 9) opened in 2000. This 120,000 sq. ft. facility has 26 presses ranging in size from 120-1500 ton, and supplies quality interior trim.
Summit Componentes de Mexico (SCM) (Plt 4) in Matamoros, Tam. (Mexico) was established in 1987 and has 25 injection molding machines, ranging from 120 to 1100 ton, including two - shot molding. Finishing processes include manual painting, robotic and reciprocator painting, sonic and vibration welding, heat staking, hot plate welding and flocking.
Summit’s Vicksburg plant is located in Vicksburg, Michigan and is home to Summit's largest facility (Plt 8) , which covers 155,000 sq.ft. This plant has 22 molding machines, ranging from 40 to 1000 ton, as well as robotic paint systems, soft touch paint, and two-shot injection presses. Plant 8 is a high volume, highly technical facility.
Summit’s Mt. Sterling facility (Plt 6) located in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky was built in 1993. This plant has undergone a major expansion to 83,000 sq. ft. Plant 6 has 31 injection molding presses ranging from 35 to 700 ton, and is the SLMS (Summit Lean Manufacturing System) prototype for the rest of Summit's facilities.
Summit’s East Plant (Plt 5) is located in Portage, MI and was built in 1991. This 55,000 sq. ft. facility has 15 injection molding presses ranging in size from 120-1100 ton. Summit East houses a variety of specialty functions including a prototype build area and an applique in mold process.
Summit's Syntech facility (Plt 3-built in 1985) is located in Sturgis, Michigan. It has grown to 87,000 sq. ft., with 20 molding presses ranging from 100.2 (two shot) to 730 ton. This plant provides a variety of painting and assembly operations to accommodate our customers' requirements.
Summit (Plt 1) built in 1997 is located in Portage, MI. This 82,500 sq. ft. facility has 21 injection molding presses ranging from 120 to 1000 ton. This facility supports a variety of molding, painting and assembly processes and produces A/C registers in addition to trim panels, glove boxes, cup holders, and flocked bins.
