Plant 8 is a high volume, highly technical facility.
Vicksburg is a three stop light town about 15 miles south of Kalamazoo. Originally a paper mill town, it has evolved into a charming, gentrified community nestled around Sunset Lake. Summit Polymers is one of the largest employers in the area and enjoys an excellent relationship with the village.
Vicksburg is known for its superior school system and community spirit. A clear crisp Friday night in autumn will find half the town walking to the high school football game to support the team. Community participation and activities abound, from Library Clubs to Little League. Summer kicks off with an Antique Car Show that draws 20,000 people to this town of 2000. If the smell of the greasepaint and the roar of the crowd is what you crave, then the Main Street Review and the Rotary Showboat productions are waiting to sign you up. You can paint the scenery or show off your tap dance skills.
Vicksburg is the all American small town where your children can ride their bikes to the library, swim in the summer, ice skate in the winter, and trick-or-treat on streets lined with glowing jack-o-lanterns and golden-orange maple trees. Vintage homes in the village and newer homes in the surrounding subdivisions offer affordable housing. Churches, schools and neighborhood shopping are all close by to this village on Sunset Lake.
Opportunities at Summit Polymers await you.
