Located in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky and built in 1993, this plant has undergone a major expansion to 82,000 sq. ft. Plant 06 employs 200 people, has 19 injection molding presses ranging from 85 to 400 ton, and is the SLMS (Summit Lean Manufacturing System) prototype for the rest of Summit's facilities.

Mt. Sterling, Kentucky is "where the bluegrass meets the mountains". Located in central Kentucky in Montgomery County, Mt. Sterling lies 36 miles east of Lexington and boasts a population of approximately 6,500. Summit is the third largest employer in town and draws from a loyal labor force. Initiated in the 18th Century when "the law came to town", this event quickly became an annual trading day for much of Eastern Kentucky. Mt.
